As a scientist, I’m always looking for ways to increase the impact of my research and foster collaboration. One effective strategy is through data promotion, making data more accessible and useful by applying the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). These principles enhance the value of research data by improving how they’re organized, documented, and shared.

A powerful way to implement FAIR principles is by using a data hub, a centralized repository where others can easily discover, access, and utilize your data. Not only does this promote transparency and reproducibility, but it also opens the door to new collaborations and amplifies the reach of your work. Recently, I led the development of a GIS Data Hub, designed to enhance the accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of our data by applying FAIR principles. Below is a selection of featured content from the hub.
